    COMPRESSIBILITY FACTOR - (Z)
    The values shown for each gas at the specified pressure indicate the relative difference in compressibility between the theoretical volume that would be calculated from the Ideal Gas Law and the actual volume of the gas.

    The compressibility factors were derived from the Beattie-Bridgeman equation of state for real gases at 20 degC.

    The table values can be used when calculating the partial pressures of a mix as outlined in the page on mixing.
